The ACM Awards have all been announced, the dust has settled and it has had time to sink in. Miranda Lambert was the bigger winner of the night, as she walked away with 4 ACM’s including Song of The Year, Video of The Year, Single Record of The Year, and most importantly Female Vocalist of The Year. Lady Antebellum took home Album of the Year as well as Vocal Group of The Year, and Taylor Swift won the fan-voted Entertainer of The Year Award.
This was the first year that the ACM’s had TWO venues in Las Vegas at the same time. The stars and performances were split between the MGM Grand (where the Awards show took place) and the Mandalay Bay hotel (which hosted the Sugarland FanJam at The ACMs). As far as the performances go, we here at SFCM agree that Brad Paisley and “Country Super Group” Alabama were our favorite! Other top performances included the Zac Brown Band with James Taylor, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, and Dierks Bentley. Which performance was your favorite?
So what did you think of the ACM Awards? Did your favorite country artist come out a winner? Was there an award you didn’t agree on? Let us know how you feel about the ACM result and performances!
