Jewel just posted online a few minutes ago that she’ll be playing June Carter Cash in an upcoming Lifetime movie! The Alaskan native wrote, “Excited to announce I’m playing my hero June Carter Cash in a movie about her life @lifetimetv”
The movie is slated to be titled The June Carter Cash Story and will co-star Matt Ross as Johnny Cash. This will be Jewel‘s first starring role in a movie, after having small roles in Ride With The Devil and Walk Hard.
