Alan Jackson is usually a shy, private kinda guy, but he and his wife, Denise, sat for a very personal interview with GAC, one that first airs Thursday night (Dec. 22).
In it, Denise reveals she battled cancer last year, which Alan says was one of the toughest things he has been through.
“I just couldn’t believe it, it was unreal,” says Alan. “To see her go through that, it was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. I’ve been taking care of her since she was 16, but I couldn’t do anything to help her. It was tough.”
“But there were blessings in it,” adds Denise. “For my children to see my faith in a situation like this, I think it made a profound impact on them.”
