Jake Owen is a national star, but in a way he is also a local artist. The Vero Beach native went to Florida State University, does a benefit show every year in Vero Beach for the Mardy Fish Foundation, and visits often. He has a large local following and is especially popular with the ladies.
He recently performed for industry insiders during the annual CRS (Country Radio Seminar), where he played two new songs for the folks in attendance. The songs were titled, “Journey of Your Life” and “Barefoot Blue Jean Night.” He also announced that the latter will be his next single.
I have not heard either of these songs, but there’s a lot of buzz going on amongst his peers about one of his upcoming songs in twitter-land. Based on the titles of these songs, I would imagine he’s got 2 completely opposite mega-hits on his hands. Time will tell, and as soon as we have a release date for both the single and the new album, we will be sure to let ya’ll know in the “New Music” section under the “Media” tab.
You can catch Jake Owen on tour this year with Keith Urban, which includes a couple of Florida dates. Jake also has a couple of other dates as well. Here is when/where you can see him:
4/15 – Tallahassee
4/16 – Melbourne (Runaway Country Music Fest w/ Josh Kelley, Lonestar, Justin Moore, and Miranda Lambert)
6/17 – Jacksonville (with Keith Urban)
6/18 – Tampa (with Keith Urban)
