Originally from Killeen, Texas, Bryan James is a songwriter with a passion for the older style of country music played by legends like Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Hank Williams Jr. Having always been captivated by the story-telling aspect of a song, he takes his own experiences and weaves them into the stories in his music. Growing up a military brat, Bryan’s seen many things having lived in 7 different states and two countries. It’s those experiences, everyday life, and the people he’s met that he writes about in his songs. You can instantly feel a very real and genuine quality to his songs that remind you of the true roots of country music.
With the goal of always making music that reminds the listener of a memory or allows them to create a new one, it’s easy to see why Bryan has created such a buzz in a short amount of time. For Bryan, music is a passion and he doesn’t look at it as a road to riches or fame. He sums up his journey by saying “All I do is try and tell my own story through the songs that I write. If even one of those songs can connect with someone and take them somewhere, it’s all I could ever ask for. Everything else that may happen is just a bonus.”
