This week we’ve got a good variety of new music out. For albums, we’ve got the much anticipated “Tailgates and Tanlines” by Luke Bryan which features the hit single, “Country Girl (Shake it For Me).”
Also out in stores will be “Chippin’ Away” by Texas super-star Kevin Fowler. Kevin Fowler is a huge star in Texas, consistently selling out large venues around the state. With the release of last year’s “Pound Sign (#?*!)” single, Kevin is finally being given a chance to shine on a national level. You may not have heard of him before, but he’s written songs for other artists such as “Beer, Bait, and Ammo” (recorded by multiple artists), “The Lord Loves the Drinkin’ Man” (recorded by multiple artists), and “Long Line of Losers” for Montgomery Gentry. If you want a fun, tongue-in-cheek song, check out “Don’t Touch My Willie” which he cut a few years back. Once you give yourself a chance to get familiar with his catalog of music, you’ll be an instant fan!
Riders in the Sky (pictured above) are releasing “The Land Beyond the Sun.” Here’s a little tidbit from the press release: “The CD presents a collection of songs of inspiration recorded in the western tradition that their legion of fans expect, along with a poem indicative of “America’s Favorite Cowboys’” left-field humor which has been their trademark for nearly three and a half decades!”
Besides the 3 new albums, we have 2 new singles being sent to radio for add consideration. You may now call and request “Second Hand Heart” by Danny Gokey and “All Your Life” by The Band Perry.
So which single do you think you’ll like better? Which album are you most looking forward to getting your hands on?
